Today I want to tell you what is CRISOL (Strategic Meeting of Free/Libre Software), at least from my point of view and experience. 

CRISOL is an event that happens once a year and at different places in our country (Argentina), so It is one of the few federated events about free/libre software in Argentina.

Today I want to talk about the changes we are facing in a global way as a society.I believe that this change while it is more evident today, It recently became known. I'm talking about how the new Information Technologies impact our lifes, internet, the tools for interchange information and comunication are revolutionizing all our areas: music, movies, books, television, newspapaers, telecomunications.

To evaluate the human evolution one crucial point in the analysis is the comunication as a tool for produce the thinking that differentiate us from the other animals, this "thing" that make us unique.

In this article I want to surf with you in a brief note about the humanity comunication media evolution.

In this post I want to talk from one of my passion that take me to this point, building this Blog.
I want to transmit and share with you the vision of the Free Software movement (http://www.gnu.org/).
This movement rise in the beginning of the 1970 decade with the intention to resist what Richard Stallman, the father of the Free Software movement, sees in those days, that our society is going to knowledge privatization, information control from a few private groups and how dangerous is that.
Between their basic principles we found share knowledge to create a society with more justice and opportunities for all of us.
